dc.description.abstract | The study on Love Attitude and Marital Satisfaction” was conducted to understand the extent of
Love Attitude among Women of Trivandrum and also their marital satisfaction. A sample of 90
participants was selected through convenient sampling and standardized tools on Love Attitude
and Marital Satisfaction Scale were used for measuring the dimensions such as intimacy,
commitment and satisfaction in their relationship. 76.7% of the women have high extent of love
attitude, 22.2% of the women has got moderate extent of love attitude and 1.1% has got low
extent of love attitude. 33.3% have high extent of marital satisfaction, 63.3% have moderate
extent of marital satisfaction and 3.3% have low extent of marital satisfaction. There exists
significant positive average correlation between love attitude and marital satisfaction. There exist
no significant difference in marital satisfaction and love attitude on the basis of demographic
factors except for area of residence. As a Counselling Psychologist, it is very important to take
into consideration the mental health of people with low love attitude and marital satisfaction as it
has great impact not only to the present generation but also to the future generation. | en_US |
